perks of being a wallflower

So, my prayers have been answered. The Perks of Being a Wallflower (one of my favourite books, ever.) is being made into a movie. I'm extremely excited (defintiely will be going to the premiere night for this one) but also of course a little scared they will butcher it. The cast is giving me slight hope though.

Logan Lerman will be playing Charlie. I guess this is how I imagined him, but maybe a little nerdier.

Emma Watson (yay) will be playing Sam.

And no word yet on who will play Bill and Patrick. I was reading some discussions about the movie and someone suggested Edward Norton for Bill. That would be amazing.

XO.

  1. I've been putting off reading Perks of Being a Wallflower for probably two years now, but now that you've mentioned this, I may have to get on reading it. Also, Emma Watson <3

  4. I'm SO ridiculously excited about this! I hadn't heard about Logan being cast, but he seems like a perfect Charlie. And apparently the movie's being written and directed by the author of the book, so that gives me a lot of hope. :D

  9. this is also one of my favorites. i've read it countless times and was ecstatic when i heard a movie was in the works. judging by the cast thus far i'm thinking it may actually live up to the book version. we can only hope! :)

  10. This is one of my favorite books as well, but not sure if it's a prayer answered. It's a wonderful book and I have high expectations for it. Hollywood does have a tendency to ruin literature turned to film (minus HP, of course!)

  11. Oh you have made me so happy, i knew Stephen Chbosky was writing a screen play for Perks of Being a Wallflower and have been waiting patiently for him to finish it. Emma Watson to play Sam is perfect. Hopefully with Chbosky having a big say on the film and probably directing it the film will be as good as the book.
