drink from the fountain of youth and never age again

I fail at philosophy, and I hate it. I'm taking a class on the Enlightenment and our final essay is rather philosophical...I really want to rip my hair out right now. I can't imagine having to be in a real philosophy class.
Enough school talk. I've had this blouse for maybe...4 years? I bought it from Sirens, which is rather notorious for poor quality, cheap clothing. When you have a wardrobe that is plentiful and you don't have to wear items repeatedly, you can definitely get away with owning such 'cheap' items. Are designer brands really that great of quality though? Probably not all the time. I suppose it's the age old question of Quality vrs Quantity...but I think if you have quantity, items can hold their quality for much longer.
blouse from sirens, boots and skirt from forever 21.
XO.

  4. Don't worry about philosophy, SHIT HAPPENS!!! In my country (Italy) we use " In bocca al lupo" which has the same meaning of "Good luck". Litterally it means "Go into the mouth of the wolf" and the important is that when you say it to someone who needs luck, he has to respond "Crepi il lupo" which means " Death to the wolf"!
So... IN BOCCA AL LUPO for the next essay!
    P.S. I love your skirt!

  6. I think the blouse is lovely and so is the skirt!

I think I am also a "quantity" person. I buy most of my clothing second hand so everything is really cheap (in price, not necessarily quality). Sometimes I buy something, wear it once or twice, decide I don't like it and donate it back. Ha.

  7. I think that you have a point. I have such a large amount of clothes that I've barely ever had anything tear or rip (to the point where it could not be fixed). Anyways this blouse is so adorable, and I would have never guessed that it was a cheap buy! I love the muted blue and lovely gray tones of this outfit. It's so adorable!

  11. For a blouse that lasted four years, it's holding up pretty well. It's super lovely, and you look like an absolute doll! (The adorable bird brooch is a nice touch, too.)

  19. Never mind the quality, that blouse is gorgeous. Most of the time I do go for quality over quantity but I guess you're right, when you have plenty of clothes their quality tends to be better coz you wear them less often. And about Philosophy, that's actually my sister's course. Haha! I took one Philo subject, too and didn't do that well also.

  22. I used to hate Philosophy classes, too (I took 3 in College) and I always found myself "winging it". I literally made up half the things I wrote in papers and exams...and hoped for the best. Needless to say I passed those classes by sheer luck. :p

You look adorable as usual Breanne! Plus I agree with the quality/quantity thing. I certainly have a ton of cheap (but pretty!) clothing, and I do make it a point to wear them sparingly so I can enjoy them longer.

  24. You are a magic woman. Seriously, when I go to Sirens/Urban Planet here, all I can find is shitty club wear. And yet you keep finding these wondrous blouses! Amazing! I really love all the colours you have combined here. Neutral shades/pastel heaven. Also, which lipstick is that? It is perfect with your skin!

  30. I adore your blouse! I'm actually more of a quality person than a quantity person, and I have to say, most of my higher-end clothes (not all, but most) hold up really well, even though I wear them all the time! But of course, there's nothing wrong with being a quantity person either - I guess it just depends on everyone's individual personalities! :)

  31. Gorgeous outfit, I love that you look all summery and cute when there's snow behind you! :)

  32. I love the sweet, muted look of this outfit. And I totally agree, if you have a ton of clothes that you only wear every so often, it doesn't matter if they're not the highest quality! I totally favor quantity over quality, although it's mostly because I'm constantly changing my mind about what kind of clothes I want in my closet, and I'm a cheapy cheapo.

  33. Such a cute little satchel! And I agree, it's all about how much wear you get out of something. If I thrift something for $2 and only wear it twice, I don't feel so bad.

  34. Your face is amazing... how do you make your skin so clear and shiny? Or this is a Princess Secret? :)

Like the outfit too, of course!

  38. Oh and I love what you said about the quantity vs quality. I completely agree with you! Plus there's just so much variety in women's clothing that I would be completely broke trying to acquire every look I like in designer brands. Though I do think some designer stylings are very unique and worth the purchase.
