ring collection

I've never been too interested in jewelry, but lately i started collecting rings and I love them. Here are the rings I own!
I have a mixture of simple stone rings as well as some more blingy ones. All costume of course.
 From the top.
Antique and orange ring from forever 21, owl ring from romwe, green gem ring from forever 21, peacock feather ring from romwe, bow ring from H&M, white opal ring from romwe, flower ring and diamond ring are from unknown places. Black diamond ring from icing, black flower ring from forever 21.

in the hope that we hit the ground upright

As May draws to an end, I have to say it's been a great month. This weekend was a beach bash (indoor hah, the weather hasn't been too great) in which I had a ton of fun with lots of great friends. In 2 weeks, Raimundo is coming to Canada :) Be prepared for tons of photos.

This satchel is from Romwe. I've dreamed of owning one like this for quite some time. The size is wonderful and I'm going to be using it for school this fall. This outfit makes me feel like a wicked chic business lady. Who hates using an iron.

I'll leave you all with a great song by the Wombats.

new buys and chalkboard frame

Once upon a time, I bought a frame from Value Village.
I decided to try out something I saw a few times on the interwebs.

Robin's egg blue frame.

I painted it white, gave it a bit of a gloss, and used Chalkboard spray paint on the cardboard. Voila, framed chalkboard.

The most exciting part of my day? Finally recieving my urban outfitters order after nearly a month. And having to pay 20 dollars duties :l. Great ! But my purchases were so worth it.

take me on a date

I got this jacket from Asian iCandy, but when I ordered it, it was April and still rather chilly. I wasn't expecting the weather to be so nice this May, so I was a little stuck on where to wear it and how to style it. However, the material is actually rather light.

I discovered it's perfect for spring days and perfect for a lunch date. If it was winter I would definitely take this double-breasted jacket and style it to maximum girliness, but for some reason this summer I'm moving a bit away from those types of looks. I think it makes this casual outfit pop because of the bold red colour, the adoorrable bow and the lace detailing. Lovely.

Also, here are some new shoes I bought. What can I say? I'm a fan of floral. I'm a fan of brogues. Best of both worlds.

&A vase I got from a thrift store. I like simplicity in my vases sometimes. I plan on filling it with tulips - maybe white or pale blue ones?

Envelope Bags

I'm thrilled  to own my very own envelope bag from Romwe. I've been seeing them pop up everywhere. Here are some of my favourites on lookbook. I think the reason I like them so much is because they are incredibly simple yet they have enough deal to really make an outfit. My bag is a neutral apricot colour but I really like the brightly coloured ones as well.

The lace blazer I got at value village. It's actually longer than it looks here, it actually goes past my shorts.

Miss Patina is back with a ton of new looks. I love the neutral tones but also the girliness of each piece. Miss Patina is great for details - the smallest detail tends to enhance the piece. They played around with lots of sheer fabrics as well, which I adore. This dress has a unique texture on the outside as well as a crochet collar. It is very comfortable and I love these 60's inspired dresses at the moment, even though I tend to be more about the 50's.
The feather pin was one of my finds at value village, as well as the teapot. Now I have two feather pins - one silver and one gold, both thrifted !

if you need directions, i'll be the guide

Hey all! I went to value village today for the 50 percent off sale :) Got some goodies. I have to wash them because I'm afraid of bed bugs but I'll show them off soon.
This is what I wore on this gorgeous day. I was kind of torn whether or not to wear the flowered headband. I decided on no in the end. What do you guys think?

a few drawings...

I love drawing in my moleskine.

I'm going to try doing some fashion illustrations.

rain rain, please stay

It rained, and what could be better to wear than this umbrella shift-style dress from Asian iCandy? I recieved it in the mail as soon as I was about to go out, and I knew I had to change into it immediately since it was a rainy day. I really like the simple shape of the dress and the peter-pan collar. Cute !

Please check back to my shop :) There are many things that are still up for grabs, and I will beadding 1-2 dresses in a few days.

falling through the roof

FINALLYY Blogger is back in action. Except, my previous post now has all the comments deleted...:(
Here is my outfit for yesterday. I got this amazing laptop bag from Snupped. It will be perfect for school next year since it's lightweight yet roomy enough to fit my laptop cord as well. They are able to make custom sleeves for any laptop size, which was good because mine is widescreen and it was difficult to find a bag for. You can also choose from a variety of designs for both the inside and out. How do you like my picks?

I know I know, I'm into neutrals this spring/summer...but a pop of colour never hurt. And I like these ones. The owl is a bank. Click on an item to see its source.

camel gold

Thank you to everyone who has been buying from my shop! I'm adding some more items today so take a look :) Since I'm into neutrals right now, I love this camel toned dress from Romwe. The pleats make it girly but the colour tones it down a bit. The leopard bracelet is also from Romwe, and since I am a crazy cat lady (yes this includes ALL of the cat family), naturally I was drawn to this bracelet. Romwe has actually redesigned a lot of it's site and it's very organized now. They also have a ton of new stock...

I just ordered this bag. Can't wait.

Sorry I'm a day late with this !

Shop Flattery is now OPEN

Hey Everyone :)
I wanted to let everyone know that my shop is finally up. I added a little button to my sidebar so click click click away ! I've learned that making a shop is a lot of work and harder than I thought it would be, and shipping is a pain in the butt. For simplicity sake I decided to do free shipping and simply include it in the total price. I will mainly be using flat-rate shipping anyways.
I also experimented with both Ebay (which is SUCH a pain, I really don't like it and they have a limit on how many items you can list) and Paypal alone - which I think I prefer.
Please take a look. Here are just a few of the items from my closet that I am selling :)

Check it out!

baby, you can drive my car

Today's my day off so I went to the city but didn't buy any clothes for once haha. I did buy a lenspen to clean my lens with though. Anyone ever used one?
This top is thrifted from value village - I love blouses with vintage embroiderie and cute cut-out detailings. I also like the material of this one because it's very lightweight and summery.
My tights are from Romwe and they are lovely. I enjoy tights that are super soft and actually feel nice to wear (I have a few pairs that are rather itchy). The bag is also from Romwe and I like it because its BIG and it can be worn as a backpack or just as a purse. The straps come off and I've been fiddling around with it and have discovered other ways to wear it/form the straps.
