Rouge Artist Intense

Last week I took a trip to Sephora to find a new lipstick. I was directed toward the Make Up For Ever brand, which I already have a few products from. I tried on a number of the Rouge Artist Intense shades and they last really well.

Right now, I tend to lean towards lighter, matte pinks. Darker lipstick makes lips look smaller and my lips already pretty teeny. However, going too light with the pink on my pale skin washed me out. I eventually narrowed my choices to these two. Blue raspberry is a bit more muted and has a tinge of purple in the light. Satin is bright and vibrant. When push came to shove, both options were sold out so I had even more time to think about it before returning to a different location. I'm pretty much decided on the satin now, especially because I want something fun to wear to my friend's birthday party this weekend. What do you think?

  1. These look like lovely choices. :)
In the past, I haven't been much for lip products, but I'm really starting to gain interest in them now, so thanks for introducing me to a product worth checking out.
I haven't tried these, but would love a post on your thoughts after purchase... In the past, I've been disappointed with MUFE products...

  4. These are both so nice - they would both look lovely on you, but I think I slightly prefer the satin one as well.

  5. Blue Raspberry looks really pretty. I prefer matte, muted pinks, if pinks at all. I'm sure they'd look lovely on you.

  6. Blue Raspberry seems a really nice colour. I would like to see some posts where you where them because sometimes the lipsticks looks different on lips xD

  11. i'm more towards the blue raspberry maybe because i rarely apply lipstick for a daily basis so i tend to go with a more neutral one hahaha :)

  13. I don't own any Makeup Forever products, but does the lipstick rub off easily when something gets in contact with your lips after putting it on? I'm still looking for that perfect lipstick that will do that and won't dry out your lips.

I agree---lighter shades for lipstick make lips look fuller!
