Review: Misikko BaByliss Curling Iron

For those of you who don't despise fluffy holidays, you might be wondering, what should I get my significant other for Valentine's Day?

Does your s/o have long flowing hair? Do they have any hair?

If you answered I don't know, yes and yes, then I might just have the thing for you. Today, I will be reviewing a curling iron from Misikko.

Every package I've received from Misikko has been special. For Valentine's Day gifts, the team over at Misikko will pack your order with all sorts of V-Day goodies. My heat-proof case was wrapped in a pink polka dot bow.

Now, for the real star of the show - The BaByliss PRO 1.5 inch curling iron. I was pretty excited to try it, and I imagined large voluminous curls.

I found the curling iron slightly harder to use. I had to hold the iron for quite a long time before I actually got a curl - and it was much more of a subtle, romantic type of cur/wave, as seen above. I also tried a second technique of not using the clamp and instead winded my hair around the iron. The result was a slight wave, which overall gave my hair volume but not the huge curls I had been imagining.

The curling iron did not outdo my other Misikko products. If you want a great Valentine's Day Gift for great value, my favourite products from Misikko remain to be HANA products (I have the straightener and the hair dryer).
